Terms of Use

The product

Vulcan Radar is a desktop display that shows third-party aircraft position and related information for personal situational awareness and enjoyment.

Accounts, pairing & collections

You may create a website account to manage orders, pair one or more Vulcan Radar devices to your account, and keep an aircraft collection of aircraft you choose to collect from your radar.

When you set a collector username, that username identifies your collection on our service. If you enable public sharing, your username and the aircraft you have collected (including related metadata such as registration, type, operator, and sighting counts, and any linked photograph credits) become visible to anyone who opens your public collection link (for example vulcan-radar.com/c/your.username). Collections are private by default until you choose to share them.

Do not choose a username that includes personal data you do not want to be public (for example your full legal name, address, or phone number). You are responsible for content you choose to share. We may suspend accounts or remove public collections that abuse the service, infringe rights, or violate these terms.

Not for navigation or safety-of-life use

The device and service are not certified for navigation, air traffic control, or any safety-of-life decision. Data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always follow official aviation authority and operator rules and instruments.

Acceptable use

Third-party content

Aircraft icons are provided by ADS-B Radar for macOS. Airline logos are provided by logostream. Selected-aircraft photographs may be provided via Planespotters.net under their applicable terms. Map imagery may be provided via Google Maps Platform under their applicable terms. Precipitation radar overlay may be provided via RainViewer. Aircraft positions are derived from third-party ADS-B style sources.

Warranty & liability

Launch units include a 12-month hardware warranty unless your order confirmation says otherwise. Warranty claims and setup help are described on the Support page. Our returns policy is set out below. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made using displayed traffic data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

Returns & refunds

If you buy Vulcan Radar from our website and change your mind, you may return it for a refund within 30 days of delivery, unless your order confirmation says otherwise. Change-of-mind returns are only accepted for new, unopened items in their original packaging. Opened or used units cannot be returned under this 30-day policy. This does not affect returns of defective or faulty goods, or your other statutory rights under UK consumer law (including the Consumer Contracts Regulations distance-selling cooling-off rights where they apply).

To start a return, email [email protected] with your order reference, the reason for the return, and (where helpful) a photo of the unit and packaging. We will confirm the return and provide the return address and any packing instructions. Please do not ship a return until we have confirmed it.

Returned change-of-mind items must be unopened, complete, and packed securely with all included accessories and materials. We may refuse or reduce a refund if an item has been opened, used, is incomplete, or is damaged, except where that would be unlawful.

Once we receive and inspect an accepted return, we will refund the product price paid to the original payment method. For UK orders with free shipping at purchase, outbound shipping is not charged back on a change-of-mind return. Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are ordinarily paid by the customer unless we tell you otherwise or the law requires us to cover them. If the product is faulty, not as described, or you are exercising a statutory right, contact us and we will arrange an appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) at no cost to you where the law requires — opened packaging does not prevent a defective-goods claim.

For international orders, any import VAT, customs duties, taxes, or brokerage you paid to your carrier or customs authority are usually not recoverable through us. Any related BNPL or instalment plan is adjusted by the payment provider under their rules after we process the product refund. Nothing in this returns policy affects rights that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

International orders & customs

Product prices and shipping charges are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). UK deliveries do not attract import customs charges from us. For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, any import VAT, customs duties, taxes, brokerage, handling, or similar charges imposed by your country’s customs authority or carrier are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the product price or the shipping charge shown at checkout.

Your carrier or local customs may contact you for payment before the parcel is released. Delivery times for international orders are estimates only and may be extended by customs inspection or clearance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vulcan Radar is not liable for delays, storage fees, refusal of entry, return-to-sender costs, or other consequences arising from customs clearance in the destination country. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

Buy now, pay later

When you purchase Vulcan Radar through our website, checkout may offer buy now, pay later (BNPL) or deferred payment options via third-party payment providers enabled on our Stripe account. These options are a form of credit supplied by the relevant provider, not by Vulcan Radar. Availability, instalment plans, fees, and eligibility are determined solely by the provider after their own checks. You must meet the provider’s age and residency requirements (typically 18+).

If you choose a BNPL option, your contract for that credit is with the provider under their terms. You should read those terms carefully before confirming payment. Late or missed payments may result in fees, debt collection, and may affect your credit record or future use of the service. Vulcan Radar remains responsible for supplying the goods you ordered; refunds and returns for the product are handled under our sales / returns policy, and any related adjustment to a BNPL plan is processed in line with the provider’s rules.

Klarna

Klarna Bank AB (publ) may offer payment options such as pay later or pay in instalments, subject to Klarna’s approval. By selecting Klarna you agree to Klarna’s terms presented at checkout. Further information: Klarna terms and Klarna privacy notice.

Clearpay (Afterpay)

Clearpay / Afterpay may offer payment in instalments (for example four payments over time), subject to Clearpay’s eligibility checks. Clearpay is the credit provider for those purchases. Late fees and other charges may apply under Clearpay’s rules. Further information: Clearpay terms of service and Clearpay privacy policy.

Billie

For eligible business customers, we may offer invoice / buy now, pay later payment powered by Billie GmbH. Where Billie is selected, an address and credit check may be carried out during checkout. If approved, the claim for payment may be assigned to Billie (and related partners in the payment chain). You must pay the invoice amount within the period and to the account shown on Billie’s payment instructions. Late settlement may incur fees charged by Billie (including statutory late fees where applicable). There is no automatic entitlement to Billie payment methods; they may be refused after a negative credit check.

Where instalments are offered via Billie, the purchase price may be split into equal instalments on the schedule shown at checkout or on the invoice. Default on instalments or a material deterioration in your ability to pay may allow the instalment agreement to be terminated and outstanding amounts to become immediately due. Billie’s privacy notice applies in addition to ours: Billie privacy policy. Merchant model clauses for Billie are published at Billie model T&C clauses.

Scalapay

Scalapay may offer pay-in-instalments options for eligible customers in supported countries (availability is shown at checkout). If you pay with Scalapay, your instalment agreement is with Scalapay under their terms. Further information: Scalapay terms and Scalapay privacy policy. Choose your country on Scalapay’s site if prompted, or use the terms link shown in the Scalapay checkout widget.
