Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This policy explains how Vulcan Radar (“we”) handles information when you use the Vulcan Radar desktop device, our website at vulcan-radar.com, and related cloud services.
What we collect from devices
- Device identifier and authentication token hash
- Selected location (latitude/longitude or resolved postcode centre) and display range
- Firmware version, last-seen time, and connecting IP address
- API usage needed to serve aircraft, maps, and logos
We do not ask for your name on the device. Location is used to select coverage and return nearby aircraft. Aircraft positions themselves come from third-party ADS-B style feeds.
Website
Our marketing site is largely static. If you email us, we will process the content of your message and reply address to provide support. If you buy through a third-party checkout, that provider’s privacy terms also apply to payment details.
Why we process data
- To operate the live radar service for your device
- To secure the API, prevent abuse, and diagnose outages
- To provide customer support and warranty service
- To meet legal obligations where applicable
Retention
Operational logs are retained for a limited period (typically around 30–90 days depending on log type). Device registration records are kept while your device remains active on the service and for a reasonable period afterward for security and support.
Sharing
We use infrastructure and data providers (for example hosting, map imagery, and aircraft data services) solely to run the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Contact support@vulcan-radar.com.
